We’ve written before about why WordPress is our CMS of choice. We’re big advocates of the WordPress platform, and believe it can be used for almost any type of website.

WordPress is one of the most popular and powerful content management systems available. I’d like to go over a few benefits the features of WordPress and how to use them properly.

WordPress was built as a blogging platform but can be used as a full-fledged content management system as well. Most of the things you find on the admin side are self-explanatory like:

Pages: The pages of your site

Posts: The posts that are on your blog

Media: Where you store all your images.

There are other options like the settings, tools, users, etc. that you may not get right of the bat, but after you play around with them, it’ll all start making sense.

There are special enhancements called plugins that you can add to your site too! Just to name a few there are plugins that make it easy to add pages and posts, add your Facebook and twitter pages, keep track of your visitors and so much more.

WordPress is truly the platform of choice when it comes to creating a website.
